FIRST CABIN ICHIGAYA, Tokyo

Located 22 km from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the hotel is within a 13-minute walk of Sotobori Park, 1 km from the Museum of Science Tokyo University of Science, and 1 km from Shinjuku Historical Museum. Ichigaya Station serves the JR Sobu Line, Toei Shinjuku Line, and Tokyo Metro Yurakucho and Namboku lines, making it easy to reach Shinjuku, Akihabara, Shibuya (one change), and Roppongi. The area is filled with convenience stores, supermarkets, and casual dining options such as Mos Burger, Hidakaya, and Matsuya, all within a few minutes' walk. For airport access, a combination of the Keikyu Airport Line and Toei Shinjuku Line reaches Haneda in about 50 minutes; Narita requires a Skyliner or Narita Express plus local connections.

Each capsule features a flat-screen TV, individual air conditioning control, a reading light, and a safe deposit box. The First Class capsules are larger, allow full standing, and include space for a suitcase inside the cabin; Economy and Business capsules have lockers outside the pod. Business-class capsules are spacious and not claustrophobic. All capsules have a curtain rather than a solid door, so noise from neighbours and corridor activity may be an issue - rooms near entrances or bathrooms experience more disruption. Capsules are cleaned daily, with fresh towels and pyjamas provided. The shared bathrooms are modern and include bidet toilets, with the women's area featuring vanity mirrors, beauty tools (straighteners, curlers, dryers), and lotions. Men's and women's sleeping areas are on separate, secure floors.

A simple breakfast is provided each morning at no extra cost, offering cereal, milk, croissants (sometimes self-baked), and hot coffee - a light start for the day. The lounge has a wall of manga, microwave, and hot water, plus vending machines offering snacks, ice cream, frozen meals, and alcoholic drinks. A paid drink package (¥1000 per hour for unlimited beer) is available. For a fuller meal, numerous restaurants and fast-food outlets (Mos Burger, Hidakaya, Matsuya, Family Mart) are within a two-minute walk. Guests may bring their own food to eat in the lounge; no cooking facilities are provided.

The public bath is a standout feature, offering a spacious and well-maintained facility for relaxation after a day of travel. It is available 24 hours daily, except for a cleaning closure from 10:00 to 13:00. The women's bath has a dedicated beauty corner with hair straighteners, curlers, dryers, and facial products. Tattoos are permitted in the bath only if covered with a sticker - no stickers are sold on site. The men's area has two private shower booths; availability can be limited during peak times. A shared lounge with TV and a small library of manga adds to the leisure amenities.

The 24-hour front desk provides efficient check-in and concierge services in English and Japanese. Luggage storage is free and secure - suitcases can be left at reception before both check-in and after check-out, enabling sightseeing without bags. Daily housekeeping refreshes the capsules and common areas. Free Wi-Fi is reliably fast on all floors. Additional services include a trouser press (free), meeting/banquet facilities (fee applies), luggage delivery assistance, and a safety deposit box in each capsule. No parking is available.
