Hotel V Frederiksplein sits in a central yet low-key area between De Pijp and the Amstel River. The Heineken Experience is 650 metres away, and the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Albert Cuyp Market are within a 10-15 minute walk. Amsterdam Central Station is 2 km away (10 minutes by tram, 15 by bike), and Schiphol Airport is 17 km away (20-25 minutes by car or train). The tram stop directly outside serves multiple lines, making car-free city exploration straightforward. Sarphatipark and the Amstel canal are nearby for walks or relaxing. The area feels safe and lively without being overcrowded.

The Small Basement Rooms (10-14 m2) are cosy, dark, and may lack natural light, making them suitable only for short solo stays. Standard Double and Large Double rooms (10-24 m2) offer Auping beds, walk-in rain showers and more space, with higher floors and windows providing more daylight and quieter conditions. The Loft Apartments (38-48 m2) are significantly more spacious, with a kitchenette, seating/dining area, and separate entrance, ideal for longer stays. Room size in Standard and Basement categories is often smaller than photos suggest, and thin walls make sound carry easily. Choose a Large Double or a Loft for comfort and avoid Basement rooms if space or daylight matters. Lofts may involve steep stairs. Only the Loft has air conditioning; other rooms use fans and housekeeping measures in summer.

An à la carte or continental breakfast is available for EUR 17 per person, served between 07:30 and 11:00. The selection features fresh bread, croissants, local cheeses, pastries, and hot drinks. On busy mornings the service can be stretched, and the coffee is prepared per order. The lobby bar serves drinks (including organic options) and light snacks in the evening, and there is a stylish round fireplace area. Room service is not available. For wider dining options, the surrounding streets of De Pijp offer many cafes and restaurants within a short walk.

There is no fitness facility in the hotel itself. However, a partnership with TrainMore next door gives hotel guests a 25% discount on a day pass (EUR 15 instead of EUR 20). Bicycle rental is available at the hotel, and many nearby parks (Sarphatipark, Oosterpark) and canals are ideal for jogging, cycling, or relaxing. The lobby has a terrace for unwinding outdoors.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can arrange check-in at any hour and store luggage before check-in or after checkout. Laundry is handled by an external company: drop off before 09:00 for return by 20:00 (charge applies).
