The hostel is located on a main road with frequent buses to the centre and airport. It is a 10-minute walk to Croke Park and a 20-minute walk to O'Connell Street. Temple Bar is about 25 minutes on foot. The immediate area has several restaurants, pubs, and shops within a 5-minute walk, including Parnell Street. The neighbourhood is lively and generally safe. Airport access is excellent: Bus 41 runs 24 hours every 30 minutes, costing €2.60 (coins only), and the stop is across the road. Bus 16 also serves the area during the day. Dublin Castle and Trinity College are within a 25-30 minute walk.

Room sizes range from 11 to 74 m². Many rooms have city views. The property features both older, traditional dormitories and a renovated 'Chapel' and 'Gallery' section with modern capsule-style bunks offering better privacy and comfort. Bunks have reading lights, USB sockets, and shelves, but no privacy curtains. Some rooms face the main road and can be noisy, especially with traffic; earplugs are provided at reception. Shared bathrooms are cleaned daily but can be busy at peak times. Private rooms often include towels and en-suite. The building has a lift, but there are a few steps at the entrance. Heating is available; no air conditioning. Note that lockers require a small padlock (available for purchase or bring your own).

Breakfast is self-service and includes a selection of breads, cereals, spreads (butter, jams, Nutella, peanut butter), fresh fruit, boiled eggs, juice, milk, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate. It is a simple but filling start to the day. A shared kitchen is available 24/7 (gas off 9 PM-7 AM) for preparing other meals, with fridge space and basic cooking equipment. Complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are available all day in the Tea Room. For those wanting a wider variety, many cafés and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk on Parnell Street and nearby.

Free activities include evening entertainment, happy hour, movie nights, and walking tours. Paid options include pub crawls and billiards. The games room has board games and a pool table. Outdoor spaces include a garden, sun terrace, and BBQ facilities. A hot tub is available (subject to availability). The hostel also offers a tour desk that can book day trips to attractions like Wicklow, Galway, and the Cliffs of Moher.
