The Imperial Palace is a 30-minute stroll, while Hamarikyu Garden, Hibiya Park, and Tsukiji Fish Market are all within a 10-15 minute walk. The area is dense with restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and entertainment, but the immediate vicinity includes hostess bars and salaryman nightlife, which may not suit all travellers. For families or those seeking a quieter base, the neighbourhood's late-night activity should be factored in.

Rooms are small by international standards, with limited luggage space-some cannot accommodate an open suitcase without blocking movement. The property shows significant wear: stained carpets, worn furniture, peeling bathroom doors, and thick dust in air vents. Bathrooms are outdated, with separate hot/cold taps, mould on door seals, and poor ventilation that can cause odours. Some rooms suffer from noise-hallway footfall, door slams, and plumbing sounds are easily heard. Windows can be opened, but rooms near air-conditioning units on lower floors may face external noise. Room lighting is dim, making work or reading difficult. Beds are firm; pillows are filled with polystyrene beads that some find uncomfortable. A plus is that rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh towels and supplied toiletries (pajamas, slippers, toothbrush kits). Layouts vary: twin rooms with four narrow single beds exist, but walking space is minimal. A free lobby lounge with drinks is available, but food and drinks from outside may not be consumed there.

Guests can choose between two on-site Japanese restaurants: Ginza Rabu (shabu-shabu) and Udon Ginza Urara (udon noodles). Breakfast is served as a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, but it lacks variety-repeat guests over multiple nights will find the same selection each morning. The breakfast room itself is described as shabby and can be cold due to air conditioning. Given the limited breakfast quality, securing a room-only rate and eating at the many cafes, convenience stores, and restaurants within a short walk is a practical alternative.
