Hotel Grifo sits on Via dei Serpenti, a lively street lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants. Cavour Metro station (line B) is around the corner, providing quick connections across Rome. The Colosseum and Roman Forum are within easy walking distance, as are Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica and Trevi Fountain (15-20 minutes). The Monti neighbourhood is known for its authentic Roman atmosphere, with many trattorias and bars steps from the hotel. Roma Termini station is a 15-minute walk, making the location ideal for both sightseeing and transport access.

The hotel offers Classic, Superior, and Superior with terrace rooms, plus Quadruple rooms with one double and two twin beds. All rooms include air conditioning, soundproof walls, a flat-screen TV, safe, and private bathroom with shower. Superior and Deluxe rooms also have a fridge. Some rooms feature a balcony or terrace with city views. Rooms in the Boschetto annex are opposite the main building on the second floor with lift access; Colosseum Charme rooms are in a parallel street on the first floor with no lift (two flights of stairs). Note that rooms tend to be compact, and bathrooms are modest with small shower enclosures. Daily housekeeping is provided, and an electric kettle can be requested.

Breakfast is served daily in the ground-floor breakfast room and includes fresh croissants, pastries, bread, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, eggs, sausage, fruit, and gluten-free items on request. Coffee, tea, and juice are also offered. The breakfast is adequate but not extensive; guests preferring a larger or more varied meal will find numerous cafés and bakeries within a short walk. No restaurant or lunch/dinner service is available on-site, though the bar area serves drinks and snacks in the evening (check availability). The neighbourhood is full of excellent dining options within 2-3 minutes' walk.

The hotel's rooftop terrace offers panoramic views over Rome's rooftops and the Colosseum area. It is an ideal spot for relaxing with a drink or for a quiet evening. There is no swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre on the property.
