HAMPTON BY HILTON BERLIN CITY CENTRE ALEXANDERPLATZ, Berlin

The hotel sits on a main street near Alexanderplatz, with a tram stop immediately outside giving easy access across the city and to Brandenburg Airport via the S9 or RE7 trains. Alexanderplatz station (5 minutes walk) connects to all major sights, the TV Tower, and shopping malls. The surrounding area offers a range of dining options within 0.3-0.5 km, including Vietnamese, Italian, and steakhouse restaurants. On-street noise from trams and traffic can be noticeable, especially in front-facing rooms; rooms at the rear are quieter. The Christmas markets are about 5 minutes' walk away, and the hotel's concierge and tour desk can provide local tips and tickets.

Rooms are compact but well equipped: air conditioning, soundproofed windows, a safe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some double beds are 1.35 m wide, which can feel narrow for two people. Family rooms sleep up to 3 (one queen bed and a sofa bed) and offer city views. The sofa bed is a fold-out metal-frame type that some may find less comfortable. All rooms have a private walk-in shower. Noise from the street can be an issue in front-facing rooms; rear-facing or courtyard-facing rooms are noticeably quieter. There is no minibar, fridge, or balcony. Rooms are carpeted and the carpets in corridors and some rooms have been noted as stained. Lighting is sufficient and the desk is suitable for work.

Breakfast runs from 6:00-11:00 on weekdays and 6:30-11:30 on weekends, offering a wide selection including scrambled eggs, beans, sausages, bacon (alternating days), fresh pastries (croissants, cinnamon swirls), yoghurt, cereals, bread, a waffle maker, and fruit. Vegetarian and some vegan options are available, but halal or kosher choices are not. The breakfast area can become crowded at peak times; arriving early (by 7:00) is quieter. There is no restaurant for evening dining, but the bar and snack bar serve drinks, wine/champagne, and light items such as packaged snacks. A welcome drink is offered on arrival. Surrounding restaurants are within a short walk, offering a variety of cuisines.
