MEININGER HOTEL BERLIN HAUPTBAHNHOF, Berlin

The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, and Unter den Linden boulevard are within a 10-minute walk. The Tiergarten park is also nearby. Several restaurants, bakeries, and a food hall are within 300-500 metres. The central station provides ICE, regional, S-Bahn, and tram connections, plus hop-on hop-off bus stops right outside. The immediate area includes shops and cafés, but some evening noise from Washingtonplatz can occur. For those arriving by car, the nearest parking garage is at the station (about €20/24h). All major Berlin landmarks are easily reached on foot or by public transport.

The hotel offers private rooms (single to quad) and shared dormitories (male, female, mixed). All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, toilet, hairdryer, shampoo, and soap. Dormitory guests have lockable drawers (bring your own padlock) and individual power sockets and lamps at each bed. Soundproofed windows help reduce train noise, but rooms facing the street or lower floors may hear external noise. Air conditioning is not available; rooms have a ventilation system that may not cool effectively on hot days. Private rooms vary in size - some are described as compact, while quad rooms can feel tight for four adults with luggage. There are no in-room mini-fridges, kettles, or irons (irons can be borrowed from reception). The guest kitchen (24h) provides a communal fridge, kettle, hob, oven, and utensils.

The breakfast buffet runs from 06:30 to 10:30 and includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereals, eggs, and hot drinks. Children aged 7-12 pay half price. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the M-Lounge bar serves snacks and drinks when open (hours vary; often closed between breakfast and late afternoon). A vending machine in the lobby offers drinks and snacks. The 24-hour guest kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. A food hall with multiple cuisines (Asian, European) and several restaurants, including bakeries and a McDonald's, are within a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel does not have a pool, spa, gym, or wellness centre. The games room offers a pool table (availability may vary; currently not allowed due to local regulations). Walking and bike tours can be arranged for an additional charge, and bicycle rental is available for a fee. The bar/lounge area provides a place to relax, with a TV and stereo. For outdoor activities, the Tiergarten park is a 10-minute walk away. The guest kitchen and shared lounge are popular social spaces.
