The surrounding area is a mix of offices and light industry, with a supermarket (Aldi) just around the corner. Bus 112 stops directly outside, providing quick links to the city centre and Hauptbahnhof. The hotel's location is practical for train travellers but less pedestrian-friendly at night; taxis or the bus are recommended for after-dark trips.

Guest rooms include double (one or two beds) and triple configurations (double bed plus sofa bed). The basic room size is compact, and the triple layout leaves very limited floor space when the sofa bed is extended. The beds are firm, and some find the mattresses hard. Road-facing rooms can be noisy from traffic, while rooms at the back are quieter. Air conditioning is centrally controlled; individual adjustment is limited. No mini-fridge, bottled water, or room safe is provided. Connecting rooms are available on floors 2-9 (rooms ending 8 and 10). The bathrooms are small but functional, with a shower and hairdryer. There is no other dining facility; nearby restaurants and cafés within a 5-10 minute walk include Gaumenfreund, Coffee Fellows, and Werft Craft Cuisine & Cocktails.
