GARNER HOTEL HAMBURG - GRAF MOLTKE BY IHG, Hamburg

Hamburg Central Station is a 3-minute walk away, with U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and bus lines giving direct access to all parts of the city, including the airport via the S1 line. The Inner Alster Lake is 1 km away, and major attractions such as Miniatur Wunderland (3 km) and the Elbphilharmonie (3 km) are easily reached on foot or by public transport. Hamburg Dammtor Station is 2 km away. The immediate area around the south exit of the station has a high concentration of street life, including groups of homeless and drug-affected individuals, which can feel intimidating, particularly at night. Turning right out of the hotel and walking a few hundred metres towards the city centre or north of the station provides a noticeably different, more pleasant atmosphere. Despite this, the location is extremely practical for transit travellers and city explorers who prioritise rail connectivity and walking access to the city centre.

Accommodation includes double rooms, twin rooms, triple rooms, and family rooms with bathtubs and sofa beds. Room sizes vary considerably: some rooms are described as spacious, while others are very compact, with space for two people limited. Rooms on the rear of the building are considerably quieter than those facing the street. Soundproofing between rooms is good, but the windows, although double-glazed, are older and less effective against street noise. There is no air conditioning, so in warm weather guests must choose between heat and opening windows to street noise. The property is older but well-maintained, with some guests noting dated decor and old carpets. An iron and ironing table are available upon request, and kettles can be obtained at reception. No rooms have balconies or minibars. The elevator is small and shared with staff.

The property has an elevator and is heated throughout. Daily housekeeping is provided at no extra charge. The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, check-out, and general enquiries. Fax or photocopying services are available for an additional charge. Safety deposit boxes are available for a fee. Security features include CCTV in common areas, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, a security alarm, and key-card access. An iron and ironing table can be provided on request. Kettles are available from reception. Cots are available for infants. Pets are allowed on request with applicable charges. The lift is small and serves all floors, but there are a few steps at the entrance. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, Carte Blanche, and MasterCard.
