Many restaurants, cafes, and bars are within a 2-block radius, including Amelia Island Coffee, Joe's 2nd Street Bistro, and Brett's Waterway Cafe. The historic district is entirely walkable. Note that railroad tracks run adjacent to the property; trains pass with audible horns starting around 6:00 AM, most noticeable in rooms facing the water.

All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, seating area, and a modern bathroom. Suites add a separate living area, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and some include sofabeds. Six rooms (1 king suite and 5 queen suites with two beds) have private balconies facing 2nd Street, not the water. Harbor-view rooms are limited and allocated on a first-come basis. Rooms near the train tracks may experience early-morning noise; earplugs are provided. Some rooms have been noted as needing updates in bedding and fixtures. For a quieter stay, request a room away from the tracks and on a higher floor.
