HILTON GARDEN INN NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE NORTH, New York

Available room types include standard king, double-double, and select king rooms with an enclosed balcony (no Queen rooms). All rooms have a shower (no bathtub except in the suite); double rooms come with two double beds. For light sleepers, road-facing rooms can pick up street noise, especially during overnight garbage collection - a room on a higher floor or at the rear of the building is quieter. Standard rooms are compact but functional for a city stay; city-view rooms guarantee a higher floor and a view of the Manhattan skyline. An interconnecting room set (one king + one double) is available on the third floor. The hotel does not offer rollaway beds or cots.

A paid breakfast buffet (USD 25 per person) is served in the restaurant each morning. The breakfast is a continental-style buffet; those wanting a wider selection have a Starbucks directly across the street and several other cafés and restaurants within a two-block radius. For dinner, the same restaurant offers steaks and pasta dishes - a reservation is recommended as walk-in availability can be limited. A minimarket on the lobby level carries snacks and emergency supplies, and free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the lobby each morning.

The fitness centre provides free weights and cardio equipment, suitable for a maintenance workout during a city stay. The terrace offers outdoor seating for a break from the urban pace. There is no swimming pool or spa on the property, so wellness-focused travellers should plan accordingly.

WiFi is complimentary in all areas, with a paid premium-speed option for heavy usage. Luggage storage is free and locked, letting you explore before check-in or after checkout. The business centre and meeting facilities work well for small events. A laundry room with washers and dryers is available on-site (additional charge). The hotel also accepts package deliveries for arrivals free of charge. An incidental deposit of USD 50 per night is held on check-in; cash is not accepted. Elevators are narrow and can be slow during peak use, though they are generally reliable.
