The hostel sits on a quiet residential street in Long Island City, Queens, with multiple subway lines (E, M, 7, G) within a few minutes' walk. Midtown Manhattan is reachable in about 15 minutes. JFK Airport is accessible via public transit in roughly 50 minutes-take the AirTrain to Sutphin Blvd, then the subway to Court Square. Several cafés, delis, and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, and a Target supermarket is nearby. The area is safe and well-lit, though some side streets feel less busy at night.

The hostel offers dormitory-style rooms (shared bunks) and private double rooms. Dorm beds come with a large footlocker under the bed (about 4x4 feet) that can hold a suitcase, plus one hook per person. There are no privacy curtains on the bunks. Private rooms feature a walk-in shower and parquet floors. The air conditioning can be loud, and some rooms have windows that do not open. Bed comfort varies-some mattresses are reportedly thin or squeaky. The neighborhood is quiet at night, but noise can come from other guests. Upper bunks are close to the AC unit.

Breakfast is not included but the café sells pastries, espresso-based beverages, and snacks starting in the morning. For lunch and dinner, hot food and craft beer are offered. A welcome drink (beer, wine, or coffee) is provided upon check-in. Several affordable restaurants and delis are within a 3-minute walk, including Palace Chicken and Grill and Niforos Coffee Shop. The communal kitchen has microwaves, a refrigerator, and cooking utensils (no oven), allowing you to prepare your own meals. Note that coffee and tea are not free outside the welcome drink.

The sun terrace and rooftop offer panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and Williamsburg Bridge. Evening activities include free live music, stand-up comedy, movie nights, and live sports broadcasts. There is also a games room and a shared lounge/TV area with board games. Happy hour events take place at the on-site bar, and temporary art galleries are occasionally featured. The social vibe is strong, but bedroom areas remain quiet at night.

A 24-hour front desk runs daily housekeeping and can borrow out hair dryers, adapters, and extra blankets. Luggage storage is free before check-in; after checkout it costs $1 per bag (or $5 per night for overnight). Lockers inside each room are about 4x4 feet, and free padlocks are provided. Laundry machines are available for $1.50 (wash) and $2.50 (dry). A business centre and vending machines (drinks and snacks) are on site.
