HILTON GARDEN INN MIAMI BRICKELL SOUTH, Miami

The hotel sits on Brickell Avenue in a quiet residential neighbourhood, roughly 14 km (about 15 minutes by car) from Miami International Airport and an 8-9 minute drive from the Port of Miami. South Beach is a 13-kilometre drive away, and the Brickell City Centre is a short ride. The area has limited walkable dining - fast-food restaurants are within 5 minutes by car, and the nearest shops and cafés require a vehicle or rideshare. The entrance to the Rickenbacker Causeway (Key Biscayne) is nearby, offering a scenic running or walking route. The on-site shuttle only serves the cruise port, so airport transfers rely on taxis or rideshares.

The hotel offers double and quadruple rooms, all air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, tea and coffee maker, safe, ironing facilities, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Pool-view rooms have a balcony. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with two queen beds in quadruple rooms. Some rooms have microwaves. Lighting has been described as dim. Rooms facing the highway may have significant traffic noise; requesting a pool-view room helps avoid this. The property is older and would benefit from a full renovation, but rooms are typically clean. Housekeeping is every two days, and extra towels or bedding must be requested at the front desk.

The on-site restaurant, The Garden Grill & Bar, serves American and Spanish cuisine, open for breakfast (06:00-11:00) and dinner (17:00-22:00) daily. Breakfast is a continental and American buffet (US$15) featuring a waffle machine; made-to-order options are limited. The dinner menu includes items like chicken strips and fries, nachos, and key lime pie. A bar, snack bar, coffee house, and kid-friendly buffet are available. An 18% gratuity is added to breakfast bills. The restaurant and bar are on the first floor in the lobby.

The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool open all year, with pool/beach towels and private cabanas. A 24-hour fitness centre is available. Free evening entertainment and walking tours are offered. There is no spa or wellness centre. The pool area is a central gathering spot, though its water temperature can be cool even on warm days.
