Located on a busy street near the intersection of Melrose and Vine, the hotel is within walking distance of Paramount Studios and a short drive to Hollywood attractions, the Hollywood Bowl, and Universal Studios. Beverly Hills is 10 km away; downtown Los Angeles is about 20 minutes by car; and LAX is 32 km away (roughly 35 minutes depending on traffic). A bus stop is located directly across the street, providing an option for car-free travel along major routes. The immediate area includes a café, a mini-market, and several casual dining spots within a few blocks, though some stretches are considered less pedestrian-friendly after dark. Parking on surrounding streets is available but requires careful attention to posted restrictions.

Room types include double, queen, and two-queen-bed configurations, with a maximum occupancy of four in the largest option. Some rooms offer views of the Hollywood sign, while others face the street or the rear parking lot. Rooms vary in size from compact to spacious; many are described as small, with very compact bathrooms. The bathroom includes a shower-over-bath setup, but shower height may be low for taller people. No coffee maker or kettle is provided in the room. A community microwave is available on the ground floor. All rooms are air-conditioned via window units, which can be noisy. Windows are single-glazed, and street-facing rooms can be affected by traffic noise as well as sounds from the courtyard bar terrace that sometimes continues late into the night. The building has an elevator, but it is small, and some prefer the stairs. Suites, balconies, and rollaway beds are not available.

The Edmon is open for dinner and features a full bar, a romantic ambiance, and a happy hour with well-priced drinks. The hotel's own restaurant is noted for excellent food and service, but walk-in availability can vary. Sweet Corner Coffee & Cakes, located on the same block, opens at 7:00 on weekdays and offers coffee, pastries, and limited breakfast items. The hotel does not serve breakfast, and there are no in-room dining or tea/coffee-making facilities. Several other restaurants and fast-food options are within a short walk. For a fuller breakfast or a wider variety of meals, the surrounding area provides multiple choices.

Leisure options are limited to the on-site bar and restaurant, which offers a lively evening atmosphere. The property is situated in a central location that allows easy access to Hollywood attractions, but no dedicated wellness facilities are present on the premises.
