The hostel sits on a lively, congested street in the historic centre, surrounded by bars, restaurants and late-night activity. Alameda Central Park is a 15-minute walk away. The nearest bus station for arrivals from Oaxaca is TAPO. The cheapest airport transfer is the Metrobus, costing around $30 MXN (1.5 USD). The immediate area has many eateries including CANALLAS pizza (0.5 km), La Sirenita, Restaurante El Reloj, Elkar Restaurant, Vecinos Osteria and Mexicano Bar - all within a 5-minute walk. The metro provides direct connections to most city attractions, making a car unnecessary.

Accommodations range from single beds in female-only or mixed dormitories to spacious private rooms and a two-bedroom junior suite. Dorm beds are single (not bunk beds) with curtains, a personal night lamp, and a large locker. Private rooms have either shared or private bathrooms; some include a balcony offering street or lobby views. The junior suite features two bedrooms, two private bathrooms, a seating area and a balcony. Room cooling is via ceiling and personal fans - no air conditioning. Some interior rooms can be dark and stuffy, while street-facing rooms are very noisy due to nearby bars. The steep stairs to many rooms can be challenging with heavy luggage.

Breakfast included in the rate or available for a small fee features fresh coffee, bread, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a daily hot dish (such as egg burritos or pancakes). The on-site restaurant CANALLAS pizza serves pizza and other dishes, and also offers a vegan option. A snack bar and wine/champagne are available. The bar and café area is also open to the public, so the hostel common areas can be busy with non-staying customers in the evening. The shared kitchen is equipped with two electric rings, a microwave, fridge and basic cookware for self-catering.

The hostel organises free activities such as cooking classes, stand-up comedy shows, temporary art galleries, themed dinner nights and tours about local culture - all open to guests.
