HOTEL AN DER WIEN, Vienna

The U4 metro stop is directly across the street, providing a direct line to the city centre (Stephansplatz) in 15-20 minutes. Schönbrunn Palace is just two stops away. The City Air Terminal Wien Mitte, with direct trains to Vienna Airport, is reachable by metro in 20 minutes. The surrounding area offers several restaurants, a supermarket, and a traditional sausage stand within a few minutes' walk. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, with convenient access to public transport including buses and S-Bahn.

Rooms are clean and functional, though the decor is dated and some furnishings show wear. Double rooms have one bed (no extra bed possible), while twin rooms have two beds. Bathrooms are private with a shower; some rooms have a separate WC. Windows in many rooms open and are double-glazed, which helps reduce noise from the nearby railway and street. However, rooms directly facing the tracks or road can still be audible. Beds vary: some are described as comfortable, others as hard. Room sizes range from small to adequate; some rooms have high ceilings. Amenities include a safety deposit box, free wired internet, and daily housekeeping. The property has a lift and is fully non-smoking.

The breakfast buffet includes boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, homemade cakes, and coffee from self-service machines. The spread is generally well-stocked and replenished, though some find the selection basic and the coffee quality inconsistent. For early departures, staff can prepare a breakfast box upon request. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the surrounding area provides several dining options within a 5-minute walk, including pizzerias and a bakery.
