HOTELBOAT IRIS, Amsterdam

The location is excellent for exploring the city on foot. NEMO Science Museum is just a 5-minute walk away, and Artis Zoo, Hortus Botanicus, and the Rembrandthuis Museum (1 km) are all within a 15-minute stroll. Multiple restaurants such as Greetje, Hiding In Plain Sight, and Noah's Arq are within 0.5 km. The most direct route from Central Station involves using the footbridge near the boat, which shortens the walking time significantly.

Each room looks out over the water and features a wardrobe, safe deposit box, heating, and carpeted floors. Hairdryers are provided. There is no TV, which encourages use of the shared lounge area. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet at night. The beds are comfortable, though double-bed configurations use two single mattresses, which may create a gap. Cabin dimensions are compact, typical for a boat, but well-arranged with adequate storage.

The breakfast spread is generous and includes bread, croissants, cereals, eggs, bacon, fruit, yoghurt, and oat milk. Special diet menus can be requested. Complimentary hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate), biscuits, and fruit are available 24/7 in the lounge. There is a small bar area and a vending machine for drinks. No restaurant is on site, but the central location provides easy access to numerous dining options within a short walk.

Outdoor furniture, a sun terrace, and garden furniture are available for guests to enjoy the scenic River IJ views. Board games and puzzles are provided in the lounge. There is no spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre on site.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, a shared lounge/TV area, and a vending machine for drinks. Luggage storage is free, allowing guests to explore before check-in or after check-out. Private check-in/check-out is available. There is a designated smoking area on the deck. No laundry service is available. Air conditioning, heating, and smoke alarms are installed throughout.
