The hotel is situated in the popular St. Georg area, within 200 metres of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus theatre and a car park. Alster Lake is less than 10 minutes on foot, and Central Station provides direct rail links to the Reeperbahn, the Harbour, and the airport via the S1 line. The immediate streets around the station are busy; some may feel less safe late at night, but the station itself has a visible police presence. A wide variety of restaurants-German, Turkish, Chinese, Italian-are within a three-minute walk (0.5 km).

The hotel offers double rooms (single bed or two twin beds) and family rooms (two beds). All rooms include a flat-screen TV, heating, electric kettle, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Rooms with a private bathroom have an adjacent shower room and toilet; some private bathrooms are not en-suite but located next to the room. The lift operates to the third floor; rooms on the fourth floor require climbing narrow stairs. Street-facing rooms can be very noisy due to foot traffic and late-night activity; rooms facing the inner courtyard are quieter. No air conditioning is available-rooms can become warm, and a fan may be provided. The decor and hallway carpets are dated, but rooms are generally clean and practical. Some rooms include a fridge.
