HOTEL DE LA CITE ROUGEMONT, Paris

The hotel sits on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the Louvre (20 minutes), Opéra Garnier, and many restaurants and bars. Grands Boulevards Metro station (lines 8 and 9) is just a few minutes away, providing direct access to Champs-Élysées and the city's main attractions. The area is lively yet surprisingly quiet at night, with a high concentration of cafes, bistros, and shops immediately around the corner.

Rooms range from single to family configurations (connecting rooms available). Most are small, making them best suited for short stays or solo travellers. They feature heating, free toiletries, hairdryer, safety deposit box, and a fan but no air conditioning. Some rooms have views of the inner courtyard, which are quieter; road-facing rooms may experience street noise. The bathrooms are functional but basic, with shower-over-bath setups in some. Bedding uses blankets rather than duvets in some rooms.

The continental breakfast is a basic buffet with bread, pastries, jam, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice, and hot drinks (filter coffee and tea). It is sufficient for a light start but limited in variety. The surrounding streets offer numerous bistros and cafes within a 3-minute walk for alternative dining options. There is no restaurant or bar on the property, so plan evening meals or drinks out.

The 24-hour reception is staffed at all times, allowing flexible check-in even after midnight. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property but can be slow or unreliable in some rooms. Luggage storage is offered at no extra charge before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping is provided. The hotel accepts cash deposits and major credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard). There is a lift, and pets are allowed with a €15 nightly supplement.
