HOTEL FALKENTURM, Munich

The hotel sits on a quiet stretch of Maximilianstraße, yet is steps from the National Theatre, Bavarian State Opera, and the Hofbräuhaus. Marienplatz station is a short walk away, providing direct S-Bahn connections to Munich Central Station and the airport (S8 and S1). Many restaurants, cafes and shops are within a few blocks. Taxis can reach the doorstep, and the discounted public parking garage is a 7-minute walk.

Standard double rooms are snug but well-equipped - each has a private bathroom with walk-in shower, hairdryer, slippers, tea/coffee facilities, and free toiletries. Rooms facing the rear courtyard are quieter, while some street-side units may pick up noise. The 3-bedroom apartment (sleeps 5) offers two king-size beds and one single in separate rooms, a living/dining area, and a balcony with rooftop views. Note that the apartment has no daily cleaning and the lift does not reach the 5th floor. All rooms have air conditioning, heating, and parquet floors. Bed comfort is widely noted as good, though a few find mattress firmness soft.

Breakfast is offered as a continental buffet upon request - you need to contact the property in advance to arrange it. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but a snack vending machine and a shared lounge are available. The surrounding area is filled with dining options, including Brenner Grill, Schwarzreiter Tagesbar & Restaurant, and Spatenhaus, all within a 5-minute walk.

The hotel has no wellness or leisure facilities such as a spa, pool, or gym. A nearby fitness centre (Body and Soul Fitnesszentrum) is approximately 1 km away. The shared lounge area is available for reading, relaxing, or using the vending machine.
