HOTEL SENATOR MUENCHEN, Munich

The hotel is positioned near Theresienwiese, making it ideal for Oktoberfest visitors. The tram stop at the door provides quick access to Marienplatz (5-minute ride) and the city centre, while Hackerbrücke S-Bahn station (lines 1 and 8) is a 5-minute walk away for direct airport connections (group day ticket ~€32, taxi €100-110). The central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is 10-15 minutes on foot; many shops, supermarkets (Lidl within two blocks), and restaurants are clustered within 0.3-0.5 km. The area feels safe even late at night.

Rooms are generally spacious, with double beds that are two single beds pushed together (each with its own blanket). A fan is provided instead of air conditioning, and heating keeps rooms warm in winter. Some rooms feature a bathtub, minibar, and fridge. Courtyard-facing rooms are quieter, while street-facing rooms experience traffic and tram noise. In-room safes are only installed in rooms 1-4 on each floor; otherwise, use the safety deposit box at reception. Kettles are available on request. Cleanliness is generally good, though some older bathrooms show signs of wear (molded grout).

The breakfast includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot options like scrambled eggs and bacon. Gluten-free bread is offered if asked in advance. The breakfast room is in the basement without windows, which some find less inviting. For lunch and dinner, the hotel does not have a restaurant, but the lobby bar serves drinks. Numerous dining options are within walking distance: Italian (Buon Gusto), Turkish (Kebap & More), Asian fusion (COOA), and the traditional Augustiner Braustuben pub (0.5 km).
