HOTEL KIEZ PENSION BERLIN, Berlin

The hotel is in a safe, well-connected residential area of Friedrichshain, with the Samariterstraße U-Bahn station on the U5 line just three minutes away on foot. Alexanderplatz is five stops east, placing the city centre and major attractions within easy reach. The surrounding streets offer a wide variety of restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops, including Italian, Asian, and German options within a five-minute walk. For airport connections, take the TXL bus to Alexanderplatz and then the U5 to Samariterstraße. The area is walkable, with good public transport links, but car parking is limited and paid.

Rooms are clean and vary in size, with some described as spacious and others more compact. Most rooms feature two single beds that can be combined or separated; the Comfort Double has one double bed, and an extra bed can be added for €10 per day. Private bathrooms include a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and slippers. Windows are openable, and some rooms offer views of the inner courtyard or quiet street - street-facing rooms can experience traffic noise, so requesting a courtyard-side room is advisable for light sleepers. Heating is effective, but air conditioning is not available; fans can be requested. Storage is limited to open hanging space rather than a full wardrobe. Rooms are generally well-maintained, and some have been recently renovated.

Breakfast is a continental buffet featuring bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, and basic hot items. Vegan options are limited to tomato, cucumber, jam, and Nutella; special dietary requests such as oats can be arranged at an additional cost. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the bar serves drinks and packed lunches. The surrounding area offers numerous dining choices within a short walk, including Italian, Asian, and German restaurants, as well as a bakery 25 metres away and supermarkets like EDEKA and Lidl nearby.

The property does not offer a pool, spa, or fitness centre. The bar and lounge area provide a casual space to unwind. For leisure activities, guests are within walking distance of the lively Friedrichshain neighbourhood, with its bars, cafés, and cultural venues.
