HOTEL LIVEMAX MITA EKIMAE, Tokyo

The hotel sits on a main road in Minato, a less touristy residential-business area that offers a local feel. Mita Station (Toei Mita Line) is within a few minutes' walk, as is Tamachi Station (JR Yamanote Line) - the latter providing fast connections to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo Station. A 15-minute train ride from Haneda Airport via the Toei Line arrives directly at Mita. The neighbourhood is well supplied with 7-Eleven (across the street), FamilyMart (behind the hotel), multiple restaurants, a discount supermarket and a pharmacy, all within walking distance. Tokyo Tower is about 2 km away, okay for an evening stroll.

The hotel offers single (120 x 195 cm bed), double (140 x 195 cm bed) and connecting single rooms where two single rooms are joined together. Each room includes a private bathroom with bath, shower, hairdryer, pajamas and a bathroom sink that is larger than typical Japanese hotel sinks. Rooms also contain a work desk, a fridge, an electric kettle, a microwave and a good humidifier. Several reports note the room layout is well arranged, with enough space to open two suitcases. The desk lighting is good for working, and the overall condition is clean and quiet. For compact stays of 2-3 days the rooms work comfortably.

Breakfast is a self-contained box provided at check-in, consisting of rice, fish and a bottle of room-temperature tea. There is no on-site restaurant, cafe or bar. The surrounding streets however are dense with independent restaurants and izakayas open until late - Farmer's Chicken TAMACHI, Wagyu Yakiniku Aokien, Pastavola Tamachi Honten and multiple other eateries are about 0.5 km away. The 7-Eleven across the street and FamilyMart behind the hotel make it easy to pick up food to heat in the in-room microwave.
