Opéra Bastille is 2 km away and Orly Airport is 18 km from the property, reachable via RER B to Gare du Nord then metro line 5 to Oberkampf. The surrounding neighbourhood is lively with many bars, restaurants, bakeries and shops, and is a popular area for evening dining and entertainment. A supermarket and several bakeries are close by.

Room types include single, double, twin, triple and quadruple options. Many rooms are described as compact, with small bathrooms and limited storage. Some rooms have a private shower and toilet; others have a private toilet but share a communal shower (three showers for ten rooms). Kettles are available on request. Beds vary: some find them comfortable, while others report them as hard or small. The rooms are heated, but there is no air conditioning, and during warm weather rooms can become very hot. Noise from the street and neighbouring rooms is a notable factor due to thin walls and the lively area, so rooms away from the road are preferable for lighter sleepers. Floor level cannot be reserved in advance; the building has no lift and narrow stairs.
