Cancún International Airport is 20 km away - plan for a taxi or rental car as no shuttle is offered. The adjacent property, Dos Playas (now effectively the same resort), shares the same entrance; use that address for GPS and taxi directions to avoid confusion. A convenience shop (OXXO) is across the road for essentials.

Standard rooms feature a seating area, wardrobe, safe, and free toiletries. While some rooms have been updated and are described as clean and modern with comfortable beds, many remain dated with old bedding, worn furniture, and occasional maintenance issues (leaking ceilings, unreliable plumbing). Ground-floor rooms near the main road are particularly noisy and less secure. For a more reliable stay, book a sea-view room - these tend to be better maintained and have working air conditioning. The hotel has no lift, so upper-floor access is by stairs only.

The restaurant is open for breakfast (from 08:00) and dinner, with a snack bar offering burgers and casual bites during the day. The buffet breakfast is a highlight for many, with a good variety including churros. Lunch and dinner buffets are satisfactory but can become repetitive after a few days - the themed dinner nights add variety. To consume any food or drink, a meal plan (half-board or full-board) is mandatory; individual purchases are not allowed. Drinks are included in the all-inclusive package, but bottled water is limited to two complimentary bottles per stay, with water dispensers available for refills.

The pools are open year-round and are complemented by sun loungers, a solarium, and a poolside bar. The beach is well-maintained and has gentle waves ideal for swimming, though sargassum seaweed can occasionally accumulate. The spa provides a range of massages (back, neck, foot, full body, couples) and wellness packages. Active guests can use the tennis court, snorkelling equipment, and diving activities (diving at an additional charge). Evening entertainment includes live music, karaoke, stand-up comedy, and themed dinner nights - creating a lively atmosphere.

The front desk offers concierge, currency exchange, and tour desk services. A minimarket is on site. Daily housekeeping is provided, though some have noted inconsistency in thoroughness. Free luggage storage is available before check-in or after checkout. The hotel has 24-hour security (CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms).
