HYATT PLACE BOCA RATON, Boca Raton

The hotel sits in the heart of downtown Boca Raton, with Mizner Park's boutiques, dining, and cultural venues just two blocks away. Over a dozen restaurants - including Tucci's Fire N Coal Pizza, Louie Bossi's, and Casa D'Angelo - are within a 0.5 km walk. The beach is a 20-minute walk or a 2 km drive. FAU campus is a 15-minute drive, while Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is 3 km away. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 32 km from the hotel. The on-site parking garage means you can park once and explore the area on foot, though the garage entrance is tight. For car-free trips, Brightline station is a short walk away, and the walkable downtown layout makes most errands easy without a vehicle.

All guest rooms feature a dedicated seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a tea and coffee maker, and an iron/ironing board. Private bathrooms include a hairdryer and good water pressure showers. Families can book connecting rooms or spacious family/quadruple rooms with up to three beds. Suites are available with 2 beds and additional living space. Mini-fridges are standard in every room; microwaves are available on request. The property is older - carpets and hallways show wear - and there are no in-room safes or balconies. Air conditioning uses motion sensors that may cause the unit to shut off at night, so request a room with manual override if temperature consistency matters. Bedding is generally described as comfortable, but room condition varies; requesting a recently renovated unit is advisable.

Breakfast is served each morning as a buffet including scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, and hot dishes, with a cost of $22 per person. The hotel does not have a dedicated restaurant, but the lobby bar opens at 4 PM and offers a snack menu, wine, champagne, and cocktails - the bartender is often praised for custom drinks. A 24/7 coffee shop and snack bar on site provides quick bites, Starbucks coffee, and beverages. For lunch and dinner, dozens of restaurants are within a short walk, including Italian (Louie Bossi's, Casa D'Angelo), seafood (Flanigan's), and pizza (Tucci's Fire N Coal). The breakfast buffet is a convenient start to the day, especially for families and business travellers.

The outdoor swimming pool is an infinity-edge heated pool located on the rooftop with panoramic views over Boca Raton. Open year-round, it is kept comfortably warm even on cooler evenings. Sun loungers and pool towels are provided, though replenishment of towels can be inconsistent - it is wise to grab extras early. The fitness centre is on the 7th floor, open 24/7, and offers a sufficient range of cardio and strength equipment for a 40-minute workout. The hotel also broadcasts live sport events and offers evening entertainment in the lobby, along with a golf course within 3 km for those wishing to play.
