Westbahnhof station is a 5-minute walk, connecting to the U3 metro line and direct trains to the airport. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus (blue line) stops right outside, and the U6 metro station at Gumpendorfer Straße is about 7 minutes on foot. Mariahilfer Straße, the main shopping promenade, is 500 metres away. St. Stephen's Cathedral is 5 metro stops, Schönbrunn Palace about 7 minutes by U6. The area has many restaurants, cafés and a supermarket within a short walk. Rooms on the boulevard side can be noisy due to traffic and trams; guests sensitive to noise should request a quieter room facing the courtyard or on higher floors. The location works well for both car-free city exploration and as a transit hub for day trips.
