The hotel occupies a classic Amsterdam building on a canal in a central yet relatively quiet residential area. Leidseplein entertainment district is just minutes on foot, and the Museumplein (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum) is within a short, pleasant walk. Tram stops are within a 5-minute walk, providing easy access to Central Station and the south station. Several restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are within a few blocks, and Vondelpark is nearby. The airport is reachable via bus 397 to Leidseplein, then a 5-minute walk. For car-free travellers, the location is excellent for exploring the city entirely on foot or by tram.

Rooms are compact and efficiently fitted: double, triple, quadruple, family, and small single options exist. All have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Most rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a safe, and a tea/coffee maker. Some rooms add a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, and parquet floor. Basement rooms offer a street-level terrace (shared with one other room). Canal-view rooms are available, while standard rooms face the street or garden. The small double and single rooms are very snug, suitable for one person or a pair with minimal luggage; larger triple, family, or quadruple rooms offer more space. Noise isolation between rooms and from the corridor is limited, and road-facing rooms can be noisy. The lift is small and manual, serving only up to the third floor; the fourth floor requires climbing steep, narrow stairs.

The hotel does not serve breakfast and has no restaurant. Many guests use the in-room tea/coffee maker and bring food from nearby supermarkets or bakeries. Within a 5-minute walk there are numerous options including Italian, Mexican, Dutch, and sandwich bars, as well as cafés and a gelato place. A continental breakfast can easily be found in the neighbourhood. For dinner, the Leidseplein area offers many restaurants and bars.
