The Martelaarsgracht tram stop (450 metres away) offers trams 2 or 12 and metro 52 direct to Museum Square and other central areas. The location is notably quiet for a city-centre property, yet surrounded by a wide array of cafés, restaurants, and shops within a 5-minute walk - including Stout, VINNIES, and Stuyvesant. Parking is not available on-site; the nearest public garage costs around €45 per night and is a 17-minute walk, so car-free arrival is strongly recommended. The walkability of the area means that almost all major attractions can be reached on foot.

All rooms include a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries; a safe, electric kettle, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi are standard. Room sizes vary significantly - single and small double rooms are compact, some with limited or no exterior window (only a skylight), while medium and larger rooms offer more space and some have Herengracht canal views. No rooms have a balcony; loft rooms do have a terrace. Standard rooms lack air conditioning (only three rooms in the hotel are cooled), and windows - especially in small rooms - may open only a few centimetres, limiting airflow in warmer months. Noise insulation is minimal: road-facing and ground-floor rooms can pick up street activity, deliveries, and internal stairwell traffic. Beds are noted as comfortable in some rooms, but firm in others; room layouts vary, with some having the toilet in a separate cubicle from the shower. Storage is limited, and some rooms have no drawers or closet. A basketball hoop in some rooms adds a quirky feature.

The breakfast buffet covers bread, pastries, cereal, boiled eggs, cheese, and hot drinks, with continental, vegetarian, and vegan options. While the selection is adequate for a simple start to the day, variety is limited and replenishment can be slow at peak times. The breakfast room has a cosy but constrained layout, and seating may be tight during busy periods. Coffee from the machine near reception is available throughout the day; the bar serves drinks including cocktails. The hotel does not operate a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the surrounding streets offer numerous cafés and eateries such as Stout, VINNIES, and Stuyvesant, all within a few minutes' walk.

The hotel does not have a wellness centre, spa, pool, or gym. Leisure activities are self-organised: bicycle rental is available at the hotel (at an additional charge), which is a popular way to explore Amsterdam's canals and attractions. The lounge bar and terrace provide a relaxed space for socialising. The exceptional location means that walking tours, boat cruises, and cultural visits to museums and landmarks are readily accessible from the doorstep.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage - useful for late arrivals or post-check-out exploration - and guests who notify the hotel in advance about late arrival are expected.
