ONEFAM SUNGATE, Madrid

The hostel sits directly in the city centre, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars. Plaza Mayor is 500 metres away, and the Prado Museum is a 15-minute walk. Callao metro station (line 3) is a short walk, providing two stops to Sol and connections across the city. Madrid-Barajas Airport is 15 km away and reachable via metro, bus, or a direct airport bus that runs 24/7. Puerta de Atocha train station is four metro stops away. The immediate area is very lively and can be noisy at night, particularly on weekends.

Each dorm includes individual lockers and bed linen; towels cost €2. The 6-bed dormitory and twin room share bathrooms with showers and hairdryers. Some rooms have a balcony. The private rooms are compact, with limited free space around the bed. Noise is a common theme - thin walls and doors, street noise, and sounds from the corridor and laundry area can be heard easily. Light sleepers may want to request a room away from common spaces to reduce disruption.

Breakfast is not served; instead, a free snack is available each morning including churros, croissants, muffins, apples, coffee, milk, and tea - all self-serve. The hostel offers free dinner events 4 times per week, prepared by staff, which are a highlight for socializing. The shared kitchen is open 24/7 and fully equipped, allowing you to cook your own meals. Several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk, offering a wide variety of cuisines.

No spa or swimming pool is on-site. The hostel organizes a full programme of social events: free dinner nights, drinking games, pub crawls, and discounted excursions to Segovia and Toledo (transport only). A projector room is available for movie nights, and a co-working space with desks is provided. The shared lounge and TV area are popular for meeting other travellers. Activities change daily, and a WhatsApp group helps coordinate impromptu plans.
