For those driving, there is no on-site parking; free street parking is available on East Fettes Avenue about 15 minutes away on foot.

Room types range from spacious doubles with large bay windows, garden views, and period fireplaces to compact singles and attic rooms with low ceilings. Basement rooms (e.g., Room 2 and 3) tend to be dark and can experience noise from water pipes above, while top-floor rooms may require climbing three steep, narrow staircases. All rooms have electric kettles, a wardrobe, heating, and carpeted floors. Some rooms have private bathrooms that are either en suite or exclusive-use across the landing. A few rooms have a fridge and a Nespresso-style coffee machine. Because of the building's age, soundproofing is limited, and rooms vary in natural light. The property provides daily cleaning and towel changes.

The property does not offer any breakfast, lunch, or dinner service. Guests have access to a shared lounge with tea, coffee, a microwave, a fridge, and some cutlery and crockery for their own use. The Stockbridge area is known for its food scene, with numerous options within 5 minutes: Maxi's, Good & Proper Deli Co, The Kilted Kitchen, Artisan Roast Stockbridge, Costa Coffee, and several others. A supermarket is also a short walk away. Many guests choose to buy pastries, sandwiches, or items from local shops and enjoy them in the guest lounge.

The guest house does not have a pool, gym, spa, or any dedicated leisure facilities. However, the surrounding area offers boating, kayaking, or canoeing opportunities nearby. The location is ideal for walking and exploring parks, including the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Water of Leith walkway, both within easy walking distance.
