Several supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés are within walking distance, including WKB Gardet (0.5 km) and Hamnen Kok & Bar (0.5 km). The area is well-suited for travellers who want easy public transport access without the bustle of the immediate city centre.

Accommodation options include dormitories (5-6 beds), private double/twin rooms, and family rooms. Each bed has a privacy curtain, reading light, and a locker (bring your own lock or buy one). Some rooms have windows; others are windowless - this may not be disclosed at booking. Rooms are clean but basic: there is no chair, desk, or storage shelf, so luggage often ends up on the floor. The bathroom is inside the room, which can be noisy and may cause the floor to get wet after showers. Beds are comfortable for some, though a few have reported creaky frames and flat pillows. The air conditioning works well, and the inner courtyard view is available in selected rooms. Light sleepers should request a room away from the street and the common area.

The shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, air fryer, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, refrigerator, and free tea and coffee. There is no stove or oven, so hot meals are limited. Cutlery and dishes are mostly single-use paper. The kitchen is combined with a small common area, which can feel cramped when several people are cooking. For a wider meal choice, several restaurants are within a short walk: WKB Gardet (0.5 km), Hamnen Kok & Bar (0.5 km), and Phil's Burger Gardet (1 km). A supermarket is also nearby for groceries.

The hostel organises evening activities such as movie nights and karaoke, and board games are available in the common area. There is no gym, pool, spa, or outdoor seating area. The nearby park provides a green space for relaxation and a playground for children. The shared lounge doubles as a dining and social area, but it is small and can become crowded.
