POLYNESIAN HOSTEL BEACH CLUB, Honolulu

The property sits on the southern coast of Honolulu Island, one block from Kuhio Beach and the Honolulu Zoo. Waikiki Beach is about a 5-minute walk away. Public transport is excellent: bus #20 stops within 100 meters, running to and from the airport (about 1 hour). Bus #19 also serves the route. Kapiolani Park (with tennis courts and soccer fields) is less than 2 km away, and Waikiki Aquarium is a 5-minute drive. The neighbourhood is walkable to numerous restaurants, shops, and the Waikiki entertainment district.

The hostel offers mixed dorms of 6, 8, or 10 beds, as well as female-only dorms. Some rooms have air conditioning; others rely on fans, which can be noisy. En-suite bathrooms are private to the room. Semi-private rooms (with twin and queen beds) are also available for those seeking more privacy without a full private room. All rooms include lockers (30"h x 12"w x 18"d); bring your own lock or purchase one at reception. Linens and towels are provided free of charge, but blankets are not included. Daily housekeeping is included. Rooms vary in size and condition; some have parquet floors. Upper bunks in some dorms may be less stable.

The hostel does not have a restaurant. However, a complimentary coffee machine and fresh fruit are provided in the reception area each morning. Guests have full access to a shared outdoor kitchen with modern equipment, a large fridge, and ample cooking space. Numerous dining options are within a 2-minute walk, including Teddy's Bigger Burgers, Mami's Empanadas, Waikiki Beachside Kitchen, and Yoshitsune Restaurant.

The hostel provides free sun loungers, beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling equipment for guests. Surfboard rentals are available for $15 per day. Diving and golf (within 3 km) are available nearby for an additional charge. On-site leisure includes a shared lounge/TV area, outdoor picnic area, and barbecue equipment. The common area is designed for socialising.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. Laundry service costs $6 per load. Daily housekeeping is included. Safety deposit boxes, CCTV, and smoke alarms are in place. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out. Lockers in dorm rooms require your own lock or can be purchased at reception. The property has a shared kitchen, picnic area, and sun terrace. Express check-in/check-out and private check-in/check-out are available. No pets allowed. Non-smoking rooms throughout.
