PREMIER INN GLASGOW BRAEHEAD, Glasgow

The hotel sits on the outskirts of Glasgow, adjacent to the M8 motorway and within easy reach of Braehead Shopping Centre (1 km), IKEA Glasgow (1 km), and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Regular bus services (routes 77, 23, 36) run every 5-10 minutes to Glasgow city centre, providing a practical alternative to driving. Pay car parking is free and on-site, with no reservation needed, making it convenient for guests with a vehicle. The area is not pedestrian-friendly for casual strolling, but the shopping centre and nearby pub offer dining options. For the airport, it's a quick 10-minute taxi ride. Noise from the M8 is noticeable in some rooms, but triple glazing helps reduce it.

Accommodation includes family rooms with a double bed and one or two single beds or a camp bed. Each room has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, tea/coffee facilities, a work desk, and an armchair. The property has a lift and offers accessible rooms on request. Room condition varies: many are clean and spacious, but some show wear such as peeling veneer on furniture, stained carpets, and cracked walls. Air conditioning units are installed but are switched off; a small fan or oil-filled radiator is provided instead. Windows cannot be fully opened, which can make rooms feel stuffy, especially in warmer weather. Some rooms have squeaky floorboards and noise from hallways or upper floors, so requesting a top-floor room away from lifts and staircase is recommended.

The on-site restaurant serves a full English and continental breakfast buffet from 7:00 onwards, with hot food, cereals, pastries, and fresh coffee. Evening meals include steaks, burgers, and Thai curry, with a grill menu. Some ingredients are frozen and limited vegetarian options exist. Service speed and availability of dishes can be inconsistent; on busy nights or with coach parties, the restaurant may close early or run out of key menu items. The bar lounge serves drinks and cocktails, and the staff are known for friendly service. For guests wanting a wider choice, the pub opposite or restaurants in Braehead Shopping Centre are within walking distance.

The hotel does not offer wellness or leisure amenities such as a pool, spa, or fitness centre. For recreation, the nearby Braehead Shopping Centre includes a cinema, bowling alley, and several restaurants.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms but can be slow; a paid premium upgrade is available for faster speeds. Parking is free and on-site with no reservation required, though spaces can fill during peak times. A 24-hour front desk assists with early check-in, luggage storage, and late arrivals. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out by 12:00. Express check-in/out is available via self-service kiosk. Luggage storage is not always accessible; plan ahead for early check-ins. Room cleaning is by request and may not be provided daily unless requested. The hotel has a lift and rooms for disabled guests. Pets are not allowed. Only British pounds sterling cash or card payments are accepted.
