The hotel sits at the center of the Gatlinburg strip, adjacent to the Convention Center and just a 5-minute drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance. Ripley's Aquarium, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area, and the Space Needle are all less than 1 km away. The Gatlinburg trolley stops nearby, providing easy access to the entire area. For day trips, Pigeon Forge is minutes away. While many find they can park the car and explore on foot for the entire stay, the immediate surroundings include a variety of dining options such as Shoney's (next door), TGI Fridays, Mellow Mushroom, and Flapjack's Pancake Cabin. Note that balconies face other buildings rather than offering scenic views, a trade-off for the unbeatable central location.

A range of room types is available to suit different needs. Standard options include rooms with two double beds, two queen beds, or one king bed, all sleeping up to four guests. King rooms are often preferred by couples, while queen and double rooms are popular with families or groups. Select rooms also feature a private balcony or patio. For more space, the King Suite offers a separate living area and a small kitchenette with a stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Some rooms include a jetted tub or spa bath. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV, safe, ironing facilities, and a hair dryer. Room sizes are generally spacious, though the balcony views are of adjacent buildings rather than the mountains or parkway. Thin walls and hallway noise are common, and some units have adjoining doors that can amplify sound.

The hotel provides a free Quick Start Breakfast featuring danishes, muffins, bagels, waffles, cereals, fruit, milk, and juices, served daily from 7:30-10:00 AM between June and October, and on Saturdays and Sundays only from November through May. Due to renovations, the breakfast service has been suspended at times. No on-site restaurant or bar exists, but a vending machine with drinks and snacks is available. Guests can find numerous dining options within an easy walk, including Shoney's (adjacent to the hotel, offering a breakfast buffet with a guest discount), TGI Fridays, Mellow Mushroom, and several pancake houses and steakhouses.

The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and a kiddie pool, both set within a fenced area and equipped with sun loungers and pool/beach towels. The pool is open seasonally, typically from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, with operating hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Its opening can be delayed by inclement weather or renovations. No spa, gym, or other wellness facilities are on site.

Complimentary high-speed wireless internet access is available throughout the property. Free public parking is offered on site, but spaces are limited and a reservation is required. Only one vehicle per room is allowed on the property; additional vehicles must use the paid parking garage across the street. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out, an ATM on site, and a safety deposit box. Daily housekeeping is available for an additional charge. A lift provides access to upper floors. The hotel is equipped with facilities for disabled guests, including grab bars in some bathrooms (no roll-in showers). Accessible rooms feature two queen beds and a pool view.
