The hostel is within a two-minute walk of Jaume I metro station and a short stroll from Las Ramblas, Plaça de Catalunya, and La Boqueria market. The Gothic Quarter itself offers narrow medieval streets filled with cafes, shops and historic landmarks, while El Born and the Raval neighbourhoods are also easily reached on foot. The beach is about 30 minutes away by foot or a short metro ride. Street noise can be a factor at night, particularly in rooms with street-facing windows, but the central location means most major attractions - including the cathedral, museums and the waterfront - are within a 15- to 30-minute walk. There is no airport shuttle, but the metro and bus provide direct connections from the airport via Plaça de Catalunya.

Dormitories sleep between 6 and 14 people and contain either single-sex or mixed configurations. Each bed is equipped with a curtain, a personal light and a power outlet, and there is a locker per person in the hallway (you must bring your own padlock). Rooms have air conditioning, heating and parquet floors, but noise from the street or corridor can be an issue, especially on lower floors near reception. Some rooms have a toilet inside the dorm; additional gender-separated shower rooms and toilets are available outside the room. No rooms have a private bathroom or a balcony. The room atmosphere can feel cramped and stuffy if the air conditioning is not functioning, and mattresses are firm. Curtain availability varies between rooms - female-only dorms may lack them, so check your booking details.

Breakfast is a self-service buffet offering a selection of cereals, bread, cold cuts, cheese, fruit (on some days) and drinks. It is paid at the reception by card only, and the selection may be limited later in the morning. For those who prefer lighter options, the shared kitchen has a microwave, toaster and small fridge, and a hot-drinks machine sells coffee and tea for 1.50€. There is no full restaurant or cooked-food service on the property, but the surrounding Gothic Quarter is packed with bars, cafes and restaurants - several are within a 300 m walk, including Ziryab, Sagardi BCN Gotic and El Xampanyet. The hostel also has vending machines for drinks and snacks.

Daily walking tours are included in the stay, giving an easy way to explore the Gothic Quarter and beyond. Evening pub crawls are available for an additional charge. Table tennis is free to play on the terrace. The rooftop sun terrace is open until 22:00 and offers a space to relax, though it has limited views. The common room on the ground floor has sofas, books, board games and a large open area. There is no swimming pool, spa or gym on site.

High-speed Wi-Fi is free throughout the building. The 24-hour front desk can arrange airport shuttle transfers for an additional fee (book after confirming your stay). Lockers in the hallway are free to use with your own padlock, and there is a small luggage storage room for 3€ per bag until 23:00 (free until check-in at 15:00). Laundry and ironing services are available for a fee, and there is a coin-operated launderette directly opposite the hostel. The property has a lift, key-card access, 24-hour CCTV, fire alarms and first-aid kits. A fax/photocopying service is offered. Pets are not allowed. All payments must be made by credit or debit card; cash is not accepted. The shared kitchen has a microwave, fridge, toaster and basic utensils, but is compact.
