HOTEL CENTER GRAN VIA, Barcelona

Rooms are on the main floor of the Modernist building and feature simple contemporary décor with high painted ceilings. Standard rooms have a window onto an inner patio - they are the most tranquil option, ideal for light sleepers. Executive rooms come with a private balcony equipped with a table and chairs, offering street views. Superior rooms include a private terrace at the back of the building, suitable for relaxing. Each room has a private bathroom (most with shower), a hairdryer, safe and toiletries. Sound insulation is moderate: street-facing rooms can hear traffic and metro vibrations, while interior rooms are quieter. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided. The communal area offers a kettle, fridge and coffee/tea station for all guests.

The hotel does not operate a kitchen or dining room, so all meals are taken outside. The immediate area is dense with eateries: Mont Bar, Café Dore and Macrobiotic Zen are a three-minute walk; La Flauta and Micu Maku are within five minutes. A Carrefour Express supermarket right next door is convenient for stocking up on drinks and snacks. The communal fridge in the lobby can be used to store food bought outside. For a quick breakfast, the staff can recommend nearby spots such as Massamara or Buenas Migas across the street.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The hotel provides a safety deposit box at no extra charge, and the entire building is non-smoking (smoking is allowed on balconies/terraces). The lift serves all rooms on the main floor. Luggage storage is available via lockers after check-out. The front desk offers a tour desk and personalised city recommendations; staff speak Spanish, English, French and Italian. Check-in is from 13:00h, and outside reception hours a self-check-in system with a door code is used. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Red 6000 and Maestro. Parking is possible at a nearby public car park (no reservation, charges apply); the hotel has an agreement for a discounted rate with one car park, but height restrictions apply.
