The Aerobús from the airport arrives at Plaça de Catalunya, a short walk away, but no airport shuttle is offered. For car-free travel, the location supports walking to most major attractions, including Casa Batlló and Casa Milà.

Dorm sizes vary from 4-bed to 14-bed configurations, with shared bathrooms either inside or outside the room. Some dorms feature a balcony or terrace - for example, 12-bed mixed dorms have a terrace, while 14-bed dorms have a large window but no balcony. Rooms with a balcony are available; check dates for availability. Bunk beds are comfortable but many units have squeaky frames and no curtains, which can reduce privacy. Lockers are opened with the room key card and are spacious enough for a small suitcase. Air conditioning and heating are present, but windows and balcony doors are locked by staff at 9 PM, which can make rooms feel warm and stuffy - light sleepers may prefer a smaller dorm or private room to minimise noise from late arrivals.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, eggs, and hot drinks, but it is a set continental-style offering with limited variety and no hot-food options like churros. Dinner is a low-cost, simple meal such as pasta, burgers, or curry rice, served nightly and designed to help travellers socialise. The shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, fridge, and coffee machine for those who prefer to cook. The hostel does not have its own restaurant, but the area is full of dining options - a supermarket, several cafés, and tapas bars are all within a 3-minute walk.

The outdoor pool is on the rooftop and offers sun loungers and city views, though it is only open roughly from June to 15th October, weather permitting. Catalonia's drought regulations can force pool closure even during the season. Yoga classes are offered a couple of times a week, but not every day. Bicycle rental is available for a fee (4 bikes total). Free organised activities include pub crawls, walking tours, and evening entertainment, which help solo travellers meet others. A basement music floor and common areas with board games, a pool table, and a TV lounge add further leisure options.
