Albergo del Senato occupies the lively Piazza della Rotonda, with the Pantheon dome as your immediate neighbour. Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona are both just a 5-minute walk away, while the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, and Campo de' Fiori are easily reached on foot. The area is dense with restaurants, bars, and shops, and a taxi stand is directly across the square for quick connections to Termini station or the Vatican. The immediate piazza stays bustling day and evening; however, with the windows closed, the interior remains quiet. Those arriving by car should note that there is no parking available in the vicinity.

All rooms offer air conditioning, soundproof windows, a minibar, satellite flat-screen TV, and an electric kettle. Private bathrooms include a hairdryer and either a bath or shower. Superior rooms, Junior Suites, Senior Suites, and the Penthouse guarantee a direct view of the Pantheon and the piazza, while standard rooms face the inner courtyard or side streets and do not have guaranteed piazza views. Some Superior rooms have a balcony, but this cannot be pre-assigned. The Penthouse Suite is the only room type with a guaranteed balcony. Single rooms are available with a square view. A triple room with two single beds and a sofa bed is also offered. The split-level apartment (ground floor, no balcony) accommodates families and has no kitchen. Rooms on lower floors have been renovated; some units retain older bathtub installations. A few rooms facing the inner courtyard may experience noise from air-conditioning units or ventilation systems; requesting a higher floor or outer-facing room may improve quiet.

Breakfast is a generous buffet with a wide variety: scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, different breads, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, and an assortment of pastries. The breakfast includes both continental and American-style options. Breakfast is available for an additional charge of 20€ per person if not included in your room rate. The hotel does not have a full restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the bar serves drinks, wine, and champagne (for an additional charge). Fruits are available by request. During the warmer months, the rooftop bar offers drinks with a view, though it closes during winter. In-room breakfast can also be arranged. The surrounding piazza is filled with restaurants, cafes, and gelaterias within a one-minute walk, such as Hostaria Pantheon, La Sagrestia, and Venchi Cioccolato e Gelato.

The main leisure feature is the rooftop terrace, which provides a spectacular vantage point over Rome's skyline, with the Pantheon dome directly below and St. Peter's Basilica visible in the distance. The bar on the terrace is open from approximately May to September, weather permitting, and is reserved for hotel guests. Outside those months, the terrace remains accessible for daytime use but the bar is closed. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can arrange airport pick-up and drop-off (for an additional fee; the standard rate is 80€ per trip, higher than Rome's fixed taxi fare), as well as concierge services and tour desk assistance. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. The hotel provides a business centre with fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities (additional charge). Cleaning services include laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing (additional charge). Safety deposit boxes are standard in all rooms. Babysitting and child services are available on request.
