SHINJUKU WASHINGTON HOTEL ANNEX, Tokyo

The hotel sits in a quieter area of Shinjuku, just off the main bustle. The underground walkway leads to Shinjuku Station (JR, Tokyo Metro, Odakyu, Keio lines) and Tochomae Subway Station (Oedo line) is a 5-minute walk. The airport limousine bus stops directly outside the entrance, with journeys of 120-150 minutes from Narita (¥3600 one-way) and about 60 minutes from Haneda (¥1,400). The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation decks are within a 5-minute walk. Shinjuku Gyoen Park is a 20-minute walk away. Walking to Shinjuku's main shopping and entertainment areas takes about 12-15 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the hotel entrance.

Most rooms are compact, typical of Tokyo business hotels. Single rooms are 13-16.5㎡ with a 140cm bed; double rooms are 18-20.1㎡ with a 150-160cm bed; twin and triple rooms offer more space (up to 24.2㎡ for triples). Some rooms have beds pushed against the wall, limiting access. The bathrooms are small with a step-up into the bath/shower unit; the bathtub is short but deep. Storage is limited to a few hangers and hooks - no wardrobe. Rooms come with pajamas, slippers, a humidifier, and daily bottled water. Air conditioning is centrally controlled and can be warm; some rooms have a fan. Noise from corridors and neighboring rooms is common. Pillows may be thin or hard - extra pillows are available at reception. Some rooms have views of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The room condition varies; some areas show wear on carpets and walls.

The breakfast buffet provides a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, including Japanese and Western options. The 25th-floor restaurant offers panoramic city views. Breakfast is served 6:30-10:30 (last entry 10:00) on weekdays. The restaurant can get very crowded, especially between 8:00-9:00, with long queues. For dinner, the Annex has Fujita Teppanyaki serving Japanese and seafood dishes (17:30-20:30). Several other restaurants and a karaoke bar are located in the hotel complex. Two convenience stores (Family Mart, Lawson) are on the ground floor for snacks and drinks. Multiple restaurants are also within a 5-minute walk in the surrounding streets.

In-room massage treatments can be booked at extra cost. There are no fitness facilities, pool, or spa on site. For leisure, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck (free entry) is a 5-minute walk, and Shinjuku Gyoen Park is a 20-minute walk. The hotel's location provides easy access to Shinjuku's entertainment and shopping districts.
