Soul Backpackers Barcelona sits in the Eixample district, a central yet relatively quiet area with supermarkets, restaurants, and public transport (metro and bus stops about a three-minute walk away). The airport is accessible by Aerobus to Plaça de Catalunya (then a 10-minute walk) or train to Passeig de Gràcia (then a five-minute walk). Most major tourist attractions, including the Sagrada Família, are within a 30-minute walk. On-site parking is not available, making public transport or walking the most practical options.

Rooms are small (approx. 14 m2 for a four-bed dorm) and functionally furnished with bunk beds. Each bed includes a curtain, a personal reading light, and an electrical socket. A personal locker is provided, but a padlock is required (not supplied). The hostel offers mixed and female-only dorms; some female dorms have curtained bunks. Noise can be an issue - sound carrys through the building, and road-facing rooms may hear street traffic. Rooms near the bathrooms also pick up sounds of running water and flushing. The ambiance is practical rather than modern; some areas may show wear. For a quieter stay, request a room away from common areas and the street.

Breakfast is a simple, complimentary offering typically including bread, jam, muffins, and coffee or tea. This is laid out in the shared kitchen and available daily - a good budget-friendly start to the day. The shared kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, microwave, and kitchenware, allowing guests to cook their own meals. A coffee house on site provides further options for hot drinks. The hostel does not operate a restaurant or bar, but the surrounding Eixample neighbourhood offers numerous cafés and restaurants within a short walk.

Table tennis is free to play and provides a casual activity. The sun terrace, with outdoor furniture and a hammock, is a popular spot to relax and socialise until 23:00. The shared lounge offers sofas, a TV, and board games, creating a chill indoor space. There is no pool, spa, or gym. For families, an indoor play area and kids' outdoor play equipment are available. Quiet hours apply after 23:00, so the atmosphere is generally calm rather than party-oriented.
