The hostel is directly next to Vondelpark, Amsterdam's central park, ideal for morning runs or evening walks. Leidseplein, with its bars, restaurants, and nightlife, is a 5-minute stroll. Museumplein (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum) is about 8 minutes on foot. Tram stops on Leidseplein provide direct access to Dam Square and Central Station (trams 2, 11, 12). Bus 397 from Schiphol Airport stops a few minutes away, taking 35 minutes. The area is lively yet the hostel is set back, offering a peaceful base. Note that the immediate surroundings can feel quiet late at night, so walking from Leidseplein is recommended after dark.

The hostel offers 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-, and 10-bed dorms as well as private double, twin, and family rooms (4-bed). All rooms include a private shower and toilet; some have separate rooms for each. Bed linen is provided (guests make their own bed), and towels are available to rent (€3.50) or bring your own. In-room lockers require a padlock (bring or buy for €5). Rooms do not have air conditioning, but fans can be borrowed from reception. Windows open, but some rooms have limited opening due to mesh screens. Storage is compact; large suitcases may need to be stored in the lobby luggage room. Metal lockers in dorms can be noisy. Top bunks have low ceilings. Road-facing rooms tend to be quieter than those overlooking the courtyard. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Rooms are basic but clean, with heating and good showers.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with bread, cheese, ham, cereals, fruit, and hot drinks. Special dietary options (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) are available on request. For lunch and dinner, the hostel's restaurant serves a menu including pizza, toasties, salads, and a dinner buffet (advance booking recommended). The bar offers a selection of drinks and snacks until 22:00. Packed lunches can be arranged. There is no self-catering kitchen or fridge for guest use, and outside food is not permitted in common areas. Two supermarkets are within a short walk for supplies. The breakfast area is spacious and features a greenhouse-like atrium.

The hostel does not have a pool or spa. Leisure is centred around the Vondelpark, ideal for jogging, cycling (bikes can be arranged via reception with a discount), or picnics. Inside, the common areas feature board games, fooseball, and regular events such as live music, games nights, and sustainability workshops. The bar and lounge are popular social spots. Nearby attractions include the Albert Cuyp market, NDSM wharf, and Artis Zoo. The hostel can arrange tickets for museums and boat tours.

WiFi is free throughout the building. The 24-hour reception offers luggage storage in lockers (free for up to 10 hours) and a luggage room for larger bags. Laundry facilities (washers and dryers) cost €9.50 per load. A meeting room is available for groups (advance booking required). The hostel has a lift to upper floors. Accessible rooms and facilities for disabled guests are available. Security includes 24-hour staff, CCTV, and keycard access. No on-site parking; nearest garage €68/day.
