Room sizes vary, with some described as compact, particularly single rooms adapted as doubles. Some rooms offer views over Norfolk Square and a few have Juliet balconies. The building has dated decor and furnishings, and noise from the Underground as well as neighbouring rooms can sometimes be heard. USB charging sockets are available. There is no air conditioning, but electric fans and kettles are provided. The property has no lift; access is by stairs only. A downstairs family room is available subject to availability. Bedrooms are not serviced daily, so guests should plan accordingly.

Breakfast consists of a cardboard box per person containing items such as a juice box, yoghurt, cereal bar, flapjack or waffles, and a piece of fruit. There is no hot breakfast, restaurant, or dining area. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room; a communal coffee/tea station is also provided.
