THE ROADHOUSE PRAGUE, Prague

The hostel is within walking distance of the Old Town Square (9 minutes) and Prague Castle (2 km). Public transport options include the Karlovy Lazne station nearby. The airport is 12 km away; the hostel does not offer transfers but can advise on arriving by public transport, Uber, or taxi. Numerous restaurants and bars are within a 5-minute walk, including Tempo Allegro, Restaurant Mlynec, and the Prague Beer Museum. The central location means almost all major sights are reachable on foot, saving time and transport costs.

The hostel has three shared dorm rooms with a total of 20 beds. Each bed includes a curtain for privacy, an individual reading light, a power socket, and a personal fan. Large under-bed lockers can accommodate even large suitcases. Bed linens and towels are provided free of charge. There are three separate shared bathrooms with showers, all cleaned daily. The atmosphere is social but quiet at night, with Prague's strict noise rules after 10pm helping ensure a good sleep.

Breakfast is not served, but free cereal, pasta, milk, tea and coffee are always available in the shared kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, pots, and utensils, allowing guests to cook their own meals. The family dinner is a fixed-price meal (typically vegetarian) served every evening, and is a popular way to socialise. A selection of affordable bottled beer is also available. For those wanting variety, numerous restaurants such as Hard Rock Cafe, Lehka hlava, and Duende Cafe are within a 3-minute walk.

The hostel runs social events every night, often in collaboration with its sister hostel, The MadHouse. Activities range from visiting local bars and karaoke to 80s/90s parties. Guests can choose their level of participation; the hostel itself remains calm and quiet in the evening for those who prefer to relax. Board games and puzzles are available in the common lounge. The terrace and balcony offer additional spaces to unwind. Nearby leisure options include boating and scuba diving, though these are not operated by the hostel.

Key card access and lockers provide security. Luggage storage is available free of charge before check-in and after check-out. Laundry service is offered at an additional charge of 250 CZK. A hair dryer can be borrowed from reception. The shared lounge/TV area is comfortable and features games, books, and a guidebook. The hostel operates a no-shoes policy indoors, helping maintain cleanliness. Reception is staffed from 8am to 10pm, and English is spoken fluently.
