The hotel sits in the heart of Helsinki, directly across from Stockmann department store and within a 5-minute walk of the central railway station, which provides direct train access to the airport (P and I trains, 30 minutes). Helsinki Harbour and Senate Square are a 13-minute walk, and the Olympic and West ferry terminals are 1.5-2 km away. Trams and buses stop within 100 metres. The immediate area is filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants, making it lively but also very noisy at night, especially on weekends. A 24/7 supermarket is within walking distance. The central location is excellent for sightseeing and transport, but light sleepers should plan accordingly.

Room types range from standard doubles and twins (around 13 m2) to larger triple and quadruple rooms, and a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen (stovetop, fridge, dishwasher). All rooms have private bathrooms with a walk-in shower, and some bathrooms include underfloor heating. Higher-floor rooms (5th and 6th) are accessible via lift. Street-facing rooms are above bars and clubs and can be very noisy until the early morning; requesting a courtyard-facing room is strongly recommended for quieter sleep. Rooms have electric kettles (no tea/coffee provided), but complimentary tea/coffee is available in the lobby. Some rooms have a work desk and city views. The property is older and furnishings are basic, but cleanliness is consistently noted.

Breakfast is not included and no breakfast is served on-site. The reception offers free tea and coffee during opening hours. Three nearby cafes offer discounted breakfast prices for hotel guests - ask at reception for details. An electric kettle is provided in each room, but tea/coffee sachets are not supplied in the room. The surrounding streets are packed with restaurants, bars, and cafes within a 2-minute walk, including Iguana, Suola & Pippuri, and Putte's Bar and Pizza, all 0.5 km away. A microwave is available at the reception for guest use during opening hours.

The property does not have a spa, sauna, swimming pool, or gym. The Yrjönkatu swimming hall (a public sauna) is located next door but may have limited availability. The hotel's value lies in its central location, placing most of Helsinki's main attractions, parks, and cultural sites within walking distance. For leisure, the hotel is a convenient starting point for exploring the city on foot or by public transport.
