Hotel Arthur sits on a quiet street in the city centre, 350 metres from the Central Railway Station and directly opposite the University of Helsinki Metro station. Trams 3, 6, 6T, and 9 stop on Kaisaniemenkatu, and trams 2 and 5 on Mikonkatu. The airport train (I/P) runs from the central station with a 30-minute journey time. Major landmarks such as the Finnish National Theatre, Grand Casino Helsinki, and Aleksanterinkatu shopping street (600 m) are all walkable. Kaisaniemi Park is adjacent, and the Market Square, Southern Harbour, and ferry terminals are within 1-2 km. The location is a strong asset for both business and leisure travellers who want to explore on foot or by public transport.

Room categories range from compact singles to spacious family rooms (sleeping up to 5, bookable directly) and top-floor rooms with rooftop views. Two rooms feature a private sauna: the Sir Arthur Suite (7th floor) and the Art Nouveau-style Ateljee room (9th floor - note the lift stops at the 8th floor, requiring stairs). Standard rooms include a work desk, fan, electric kettle, and parquet floors; some Business Twin rooms add air conditioning and a minibar. However, many standard rooms are small and basic, lacking a fridge, wardrobe (open hanging space only), and in-room safe. Noise can be an issue: the basketball court on the 8th floor is audible in rooms on the 7th floor between 08:00-21:00, and general soundproofing between rooms is weak. Rooms without air conditioning can become uncomfortably warm in summer, though a fan is provided. Cleaning is on request or every three days by default. For guests with mobility issues, two barrier-free rooms are available (book directly), and the lift door width is 91 cm.

Breakfast is served as a generous buffet with a wide variety of items, including hot dishes, salads, gluten-free options, and coffee. It is included in many room rates and is available Monday-Friday 06:30-10:00 and weekends/public holidays 07:30-11:00. When booked separately, breakfast is €18 per person. Hotel Arthur has two small saunas available exclusively for hotel guests. They can be booked at the reception for 10€/person/hour, with towels included. The saunas are well-maintained and provide a clean, spacious environment suitable for a relaxing session after a day of sightseeing. There is no fitness centre on-site, but the nearby Fitness Village in Kaisaniemi offers a five-star training centre. For swimming and spa experiences, the Allas Sea Pool (20-min walk or tram) and Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall (15-min walk) are close by. Kaisaniemi Park, directly adjacent, offers a green space for walks and picnics.

The 24-hour reception provides wake-up calls, taxi ordering, car hire, and sells light alcoholic beverages until 01:30.
