THON HOTEL GYLDENLOVE, Oslo

The hotel sits at the heart of the Frogner district, surrounded by boutiques, cafés and restaurants. The tram stop is directly outside, providing a 1-minute connection to the city centre or a 15-minute tram ride to Central Station. The area is highly walkable, with many attractions reachable on foot. The Majorstuen metro station is also a short walk, offering further access across Oslo. For airport transfers, the Airport Express train from the central station is the fastest option for late arrivals.

All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, minibar, work desk, safe, and free WiFi. Bathrooms are private, with underfloor heating, hairdryer, and toiletries. A notable design choice places the sink outside the bathroom in many standard rooms, which some find less private. Standard rooms are small, better suited for solo travellers or short stays. Business Rooms are more spacious, accommodating up to two guests with a separate bed arrangement. Rooms facing the street can be noisy due to tram and pedestrian traffic, while courtyard-facing rooms are significantly quieter. Rooms have heating and some have windows that can be opened for ventilation.

The fitness centre offers a range of cardio and strength equipment in a dedicated space. It is accessible free of charge to all guests. For outdoor relaxation, Frogner Park (Vigeland Park) is a 10-minute walk, ideal for a stroll or jog. The hotel does not have a pool, spa, or sauna.
