Poblenou is a quieter residential neighbourhood with start-ups, design studios, and a local feel, yet the hostel is only 2 km from the Port Olímpic area with its many bars and restaurants. Metro L4 (Ciutadella / Vila Olímpica) is a 7-minute walk, and a bus stop is directly outside the property. The airport is 18 km away - a taxi costs €30-35 and takes 25 minutes, or the Aerobus+metro option costs about €8 and takes 45 minutes. Walking to the Gothic Quarter or the centre takes about 25 minutes. The area has small supermarkets and affordable cafés nearby.

The private quadruple room offers either two single beds plus a bunk bed or two bunk beds, with a 42-inch Smart TV, USB plugs, individual thermostats, and a free personal bag locker. The 8-bed mixed or female dorm has large lockers (height 25 cm, width 65 cm, length 85 cm) in the bed frame - bring a padlock. Beds have a reading light and two USB ports. Larger luggage may need the paid luggage storage lobby lockers (small: €3 for 6 hr, €5 for 24 hr; big: €4 for 6 hr, €7 for 24 hr). The bunk ladder is a basic metal design and there is no curtain for privacy. The sink is inside the room, and the toilet and shower are separated. Noise from other guests can be frequent, especially in mixed dorms - light sleepers may prefer a private room. Daily housekeeping is included, but cleaning consistency can vary.

The breakfast buffet includes fruits, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, juice, coffee, and tea; there are vegetarian options. The ground-floor restaurant serves Italian cuisine and the bar offers a daily free drink per person for guests. A fully equipped shared kitchen allows self-catering. The surrounding area has several inexpensive restaurants, takeaway pizza opposite, and a bakery on the main street. Pub crawls (€20, additional charge) and walking tours are organised regularly.
