WEBER HOTEL 117, Amsterdam

The hotel sits in the theatre district, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and nightlife. Leidseplein tram stop offers direct routes to Central Station and Dam Square. Rijksmuseum is 9 minutes on foot and Vondelpark is 800 m away. The area is walkable to most major attractions, but the central location means street noise from trams, bars, and late-night foot traffic is a factor. For car-free city access, the tram is the most practical option. Bus 397 from Schiphol Airport takes about 40 minutes to Leidseplein, from where the hotel is a 3-minute walk.

Accommodation is spread across three adjacent properties and includes double, triple, and family rooms. Triple rooms have one double and one single bed; family rooms sleep up to five with three beds. All rooms include a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. In-room amenities include a tea and coffee maker, chocolate, and complimentary earplugs. Basement or ground-floor rooms - particularly those facing the street - can be noisy due to trams and nightlife; rooms on higher floors or with garden views are quieter. Some rooms have small windows or limited natural light. The bathrooms are modern but compact; some bathrooms lack an extractor fan. Room size is best suited to travellers planning to spend most of their time out and about.

The hotel does not offer a dining service or breakfast. The reception can recommend local spots, and the immediate area around Leidseplein has a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and cafés, including Milk Cafe, Cafe Americain, and Akbar Indian Restaurant, all within 300 m. For self-catering, there is a vending machine for drinks and snacks at the property. The best approach is to treat the location as a base for exploring the city's culinary scene.

Wellness and leisure facilities are limited to the immediate surroundings. Vondelpark is 800 m away for jogging, walking, or relaxing outdoors. The hotel's central location places it close to Amsterdam's cultural attractions, including the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, both within walking distance. The property is adults-only and focuses on providing a practical base for city exploration.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas, with reliable connectivity reported. Check-in is express via a 24/7 self-service system, with reception staff available for assistance during the day. Luggage storage is offered free of charge between 09:00 and 18:00. The property has no own parking; the recommended option is P+R Bos en Lommer (€1/24h) with tram 7 to Leidseplein. No lift is available, but staff help with luggage. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. The hotel is adults-only and does not permit pets. Housekeeping is available daily, though some reports note variability in room servicing.
