AUSTIN'S ARTS ET METIERS HOTEL, Paris

The hotel is on a quiet street in the 3rd arrondissement, yet surrounded by the vibrant Marais area with numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops. Within walking distance are the Centre Georges Pompidou (600 m), Place de la République (500 m), the Picasso Museum (16-minute walk), and Notre Dame Cathedral. The metro station across the street (lines 3 and 11) provides direct access to Hôtel de Ville, Opéra, and Châtelet-Les-Halles (RER A, B, D) within 10 minutes. For airport transfers, allow about 20 minutes by metro to Gare du Nord. The area feels lively and safe, with several Asian and Korean restaurants nearby.

Room categories include single, double, and twin, with either a large bed or two separate beds. Street and courtyard views are available, but no rooms have a balcony. Rooms are compact by standard expectations - twin rooms in particular can feel cramped for two people with luggage, and some bathrooms are narrow. Soundproofing from the metro beneath the building can be limited, especially on lower floors. Courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. Some rooms may have dated carpets and uneven walls. Extra amenities include a courtesy tray with tea, coffee, and milk, a hairdryer, a safe, and an iron and ironing board on request. An extra foldable bed can be added for families. Two rooms are adapted for wheelchair access with a lower sink, raised toilet, and grab rails.

The breakfast buffet includes French croissants, bread, cheese, cold meats, cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh juice, and coffee or tea. Gluten-free options are available upon request. The breakfast room is located in the basement without natural light. Breakfast can also be served in the room. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but the surrounding area offers numerous cafés, brasseries, and Asian restaurants within a 5-minute walk. A coffee house is on site, and a vending machine for drinks is available.

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel. The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out, safety deposit boxes, and computer terminals with free internet access. Luggage storage is free of charge before check-in and after check-out. A lift serves all floors. Business facilities include fax/photocopying for an additional charge. Room service is available. The hotel has 24-hour security with CCTV and smoke alarms. Accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station are available. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle.
